v4.3-v5.0

Use of REST Web services

This version adds REST services that replace the previous SOAP web services. Although the use of REST services is encouraged, the SOAP web services can still be installed by opening a console in administrator mode and running the corresponding .msi file. Afterwards, the backend services must be installed since the SOAP web services do not communicate with the Web API.

Notification services in SAM

The notification services that were traditionally found in the “system.config” file are now managed from SAM and stored in the database. Therefore, the notification services found in the configuration file are obsolete and must be loaded into SAM manually.

Use of desktop tools

To use the BPM and BPA desktop tools, the backend services must be installed since these tools do not communicate with the Web API. As for the OMM desktop tool, it is now deprecated and the OMM Web application must be used from now on.

System parameters

Two system parameters that were previously in the database are added to the configuration file: NonQueryCommandTimeout and FilterMultivalued. A new parameter, CacheType, is also added to the file. More information about this new parameter is available in the Installation and configuration manual.

.NET Framework version

The .NET framework version in use changes to 4.7.2; any integration or custom form must target this framework version.
